    Freewheel Question

My old SS uses just spacers and a cassette cog. I recently purchased a bike that has a freewheel. The freewheels are ACS 20 and 22 teeth. A friend of mine ( a local frame builder) ordered a FR8 (tool), I think Park makes it. The tool does not fit in the ACS freewheels. He spent most of the day yesterday fabricating one. Anyone else using AC freewheels? What are you taking them out with?

    I think the FR-3 works....at least that's what I use on my Dictas/ACS/Shimano freewheels.

Is it the 4 pronged one you're looking for?

If you use freewheels you'll want to get one of these:

for added engagement use the axle nut or QR skewer to keep just enough pressure on the tool to keep it from wanting to slip off. It'll save you from rounding off the edges of the FR-3 as you try to apply torque.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

is the one I think. Shimano makes the TL-FW45 too. CB's tool looked nice too. Thanks for the help.
