Fish on! Got the BigFish built up!

Check out the newest member of the fleet. It's a Jeff Lyon-built BigFish 700C flat-bar singlespeed 'cross whippet. It's really light and really fun. Has the horizontal drops for gearie or SS use, and a nice set o'parts. Some may find it too colorful, but I have a garage full of stealthy titanium and like the way this works. Following the advice of some others on this site, I went with the double-powerlink chain that allows me to run anything from 34-16 to 44-20 (currently pictured). Rides like a softail.

Those orange cranks were hard to find!

Nice looking rig. Now, you've just gott ago out and do some cross races on it to really know how it handles!

Yes, the QR holds; it's an XTR

I had trouble with the Ringle skewers holding, but the XTR holds like a bolt. That's also what Sheldon Brown recommends on his site, and I've had no problem with hard out-of-the-saddle climbs.

I'll be XC racing on the Yo Eddy singlespeed, but will do SS 'cross on this one.

Also, what gearing are you running?

Thanks! It's Reynolds 725, 4.1 pounds. Pictured gearing is 44X20, but I run anything from 34-20 to 44-16 depending on the ride. Used a chain with 2 powerlinks and can swap between them all very quickly.

    Sweet ride!

    I love 700c crossers/urban speedsters.
    Dig the color.
