... and if we just ... Finally Joined the Dark Side

I've searched for years to no avail, until last Feb, when I finally found my holy grail. For many weeks searching for parts for gears, It came to me like a bolt of lighting..... You're Going SS!!!! So I did and for a 94 model Atx 890, she is best of both worlds.

The guy I bought it from had told me he got it at a swap and that guy basically stripped the stx parts and layed the frame aside. The only marks on the frame are dérailleur marks, other than that it's about perfect. I was stoked when I found it!!

Very noice. See if you can run the tensioner in push up mode. Gotta love the 5 bolt cranks too.
    I see hills.

    I want to climb them.

you can probably take a link out of that chain, which would be good for the set up.

that rise on that handlebar seems a bit extreme, unless you really like that beach cruiser feel.

I ended up changing the cog and removed 2 links and then I was able use the tensioner to push up on the chain. The bars are ugly but they are super comfy. But I'm looking for something else.

pedal reflectors must go. I found another one on the trail yesterday just waiting to be run over and shattered into everyone else's tires. that's all they are good for.

sorry to sound all negative and nitpicky. the bike looks awesome and fun.

    Good job!

I didn't even know Cane Creek made hubs. Very nice bike. I have been looking at CL to try and find something to convert to a commuter but so far no dice. Bikes of this age are rarely so nice.

Love the color! I'm thinking of having my Monocog powder coated in that very shade of green.
