    Eurobike 2005 - just in case you go there! [If not read anyway - cool bike inside]

    Schwalbe is launching a new tire called the Fat Frank - so Retrovelo who helped them out a little bit with the "design" (color?) is inviting to the "Fat Frank"-Party Friday the 2nd of September right after the gates are closed for that day. The trick is to stay inside anyway ... Hall A5 Booth 109.

    I am sure Cloxxki is going to be there and he will tell us why the geometry of that bike is wrong - and I plan to beat him up for that ... !

    Well that was fast Phaty!

    A few corrections and additions: The party will not take place at the booth (which you are invited to visit anyway) but at the small lake in front of the exhibiton halls. The tire´s profile was designed by retrovelo co-founder Frank Patitz, the tire itself is based on the Schwalbe Big Apple/Super Moto. And what you can see at the picture is Retrovelo´s prototype fixie which will perhaps make it into regular production.

    On the picture still equipped with a Big Apple. The Fat Frank will have a different profile.

    Because the pictures were taken by a professional photographer I have to mention that there´s copyright on them by Gunter Binsack.

    Feel free to come around, would be really nice to meet some singlespeeders there.

    Buy me an airline ticket and I'll be there!

    Nice looking bike, I bet it's nicer in person.

    The real question is, how do I get one of those in the US?

    Well we couldn't let a year passing by without seeing each other ... !

    @Frank:
    As for getting a bike from Germany to the US (or you just want the tires?) how about orderin one and have it shipped over. Believe it or not but those little guys in the brown trucks do not just get that stuff from the USofA to us - it works the other way around as well ... !

    I hope to be there, but it's probably just a dream I'l actually make it.
    Give me a break please. I you want to beat me up, do it because I haven't had any of my many bikes set up as an offroad SS for the past months.
