    (Edge) Carbon Stem SS/Rigid Application?

I've done a fair amount of searching around but was unable to find too much info on using carbon stems on rigid SS setups. Even finding a carbon mountain stem in the first place is a little challenging. Edge has one that's available from QBP but it's listed as road use only. I did find a thread that mentions Quiring bikes using one on a new lefty build but I'm planning on using this one a rigid SS. I have a Niner carbon fork and carbon Ragley Carnegie's bars so I figured why not round out my steering mechanism with the carbon trifecta. Mainly I want to add a little more shock absorbtion to the front end (and maybe a little more bling

Sweet. What make/model? Or should I just assume it's the Edge since that's pretty much the only one out there

Who makes the carbon stem? I've been using a Ritchey WCS which is pretty light.

Enve (formerly Edge) makes a carbon mtb stem, as does Bontranger and Easton. The Ritchey and FSA stems are carbon wrapped alloy.

Ive been using a bontrager XXXlite road stem on my XC bike for over a year, its nice. The reason you dont see many mtn carbon stems is because you can make aluminum stems lighter and cheaper.
