    As long as you can get it into a position where the pulleys are closer together than the diameter of the rear cog, and it doesn't hit the frame it'll work fine.

    You probably could but it would be a lot easier to make it out of a couple pieces of aluminum stock and a pair of deraileur pulleys.

    yeah, they dropped it. they're working on a lot of other stuff, so this is kinda taking a backseat for a while.

    someone here has tried to rig one up using a derailleur cage, but to no avail.

    I wonder if I could do it with a dremel tool

    that's all I have. I would probably need some sort of cutter to get to rough shape from the AL stock HUH?
