do you like this frame: Niner One 9 Frame 2011

used for x-c racing and general riding. I can get one for $645. I have a GF Rig and hate the EBB they use. Is the EBB Niner uses better? Thanks.

that's a bunch of one9 pics. Check that forum too for ninerds' opinions.

An EBB is an EBB, they require more maintenance and upkeep than a standard BB or sliding dropouts and the niner Bio-Centric can be finicky to get working without noise. Search the forums for Biocentric and you'll see many comments and threads on that EBB.

I went from a GF Rig to an Air 9 which I ran SS. Same geometry as the One9.

IMO, the difference between the two bikes is night and day. Also the One 9 will be several lbs lighter than the stock RIG which makes for a great XC racing bike. I personally like the geometry of the Air 9 vs. the Rig.

I can't comment too much on the Biocentric BB. I do recall lots of creaks on my Rig's EBB similar to some of the complaints I've seen on the Bio EBB. Personally, I prefer an EBB over the sliding dropsouts. I know others prefer the sliding drops.

I'm am now in the process of building up a SIR 9 SS which I hope to have build up in the next 2 weeks.

I have had 6 Niners. 4 of which had the Biocentric. They are very easy to use, ( so easy, a girl can do it lol) they are amazing bikes! I love all of them! I have the Air9 Carbon set up as my race bike, and the One9 set up as my everyday bike. The ride is amazing on both of them!!! They both make super light race bikes. I have had a GF Rig in the past as well.

Just get yourself a can of Carbogrip and your EBB will be happy. Don't over look SIR9's as an option either.

    Just sayin

I bought the Air 9 and put a Melvin on it. I love the bike and I could go to gears if I want. The bike shop gave me a great deal on the frame so If I was you buy new. You should get at least 10% off a frame. Now I think of it a new EMD with a tensioner would be sweet.

found them at JensonUSA for $645. The my11's are on sale right now. It appears they have raw and Kermit green. Good luck. I have opted to wait it out for now or at least until I figure out what I really want.
