    Disc Brakes on Giant Singlespeed

Does anyone have the Giant XTC Two2One Singlespeed frame who is using disc brakes in the rear and got the disc brake adapter from Giant? If so, how does it work and what does it look like?

I had that same frame it was an 04 the black one. I ordered the disc brake kit and was very disappointed. It reminded me of the brake therapy adapter of yester-year. It was very heavy. It replaced the non drive side chain tensioner and it had an aluminum tube that went up and bolted to the v-brake boss.

Here is a small pic I found on ebay.

I would recommend staying away from it. I had my bike down to 19.3 pounds with a fox fork and down to 17.3 with a pace carbon fork. This was with a disc in the front and a v-brake in the back.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for.
