(probably wont reply unitll tuesday- working at REI sat, sun and in the field on monday)

those two coyotes followed me most of the way up the aliso woods valley- must have been the shower i missed. still, we enjoyed the companionship- the place was vacant.

(yes, the rangers that I saw waved with all five fingers and did not threaten tickets, so, it was a sort-of-legal ride?)

All that red and you didn't even post the same pic twice.

But you sure have a nice riding zone there. I wish I could ride someplace where my bike wouldn't come back covered in 1/2" thick dark brown goo. Oh well, those days are only about four months away! Welcome to Orygun.

'Til then... more red, I guess.

    Nice photos!

Now let's see some post-conversion pix of that Sofa King.

We don't quit riding because we get old.

My olde stomping grounds. Looks like Rock it is its usual hacked self. Nice riding companions too! They look well fed. You have any snausages to throw in case they got too close? Your bottle of wine have a cork or a screw top?

screw top, as usual- jug style. joking! really- it was a meridian merlot if I can recall (unlikely- especially with the rest of the haze of the weekend- tee many martoonies!) at least it wasnt box whine.

no snausages, but that would have been a good idea- then again, these two hoodlums looked like a treadmill might have been a better idea. the local cat and small dog popluation has been keeping the coyotes well-fed.

rockit was a blast as usual, except for the fact that my tyres were caked with clay and mud, making traction on the sandstone less-than-ideal. and i didnt want to break anything, as Molly aka Poacher did recently on rockit.

    cheers!

    those coyotes...

are usually in my back yard terrorizing my dog (i live just up the hill from the bridge on the lower fire road).

it was beautiful this weekend. saturday seemed too muddy to ride (as LCWP was closed, I figured AWCWP would fare no better), so it was the call of the open road (bike) for me.

AW was sort of open- muddy (note to self- my 29er is not going to be the best for oregon mud) and caked the tires- making descending rockit at speed a touchy proposition.

the rangers waved and didnt ticket (saw three of em) so i must have been good to go!
