    Custom aluminum frame?

Any recommendations for an aluminum (or scandium) 29er EBB custom frame?

Basically the same as a Gary Fisher Rig frame... but maybe with some unusually shaped larger diameter tubing.

Should I wait for Salsa to make a 29er Juan Solo?
    Or a 29er 1fg from Cannondale?

Great looking frame, but if the website shown on the top tube doesn't work...

Russ Denny doesn't show any mountain bikes in the gallery... looks like he specializes in road/track frames.

    call them!!!

try giving both canyon and russ denny a call. i always suggest that when trying to get in touch with a custom builder. most are busy building frame and do not update their websites.

i have recently seen a few canyon frames. it would be hard (but not impossible) to believe they have gone belly up so quickly.

as far as russ denny goes, he does go alot of roadie/track stuff but DOES build mtn frames. it is worth your time to give russ a call. i have heard he does some amazing tig welding...looks like the tubes are just melted together!!!

i know a so cal ss'er that has a 29er frame on order from denny, it's a ss frame with i think paul dropouts...

also, sofa king is worth a try. i spoke to Pat (i think he's the boss at chainwheel/sofa king). i am not sure what/how much work they do in house. i am pretty sure litespeed does all their ti work. i spoke to him over 1 month ago and they were going to make a "few changes" including a new name (i think "grail cycles" or sumthin'). he told me to call back in a few weeks for a quote of a 29er ti/ebb frame. i ended up going with another builder.

oh, and try mike desalvo at www.desalvocycles.com

    cheers!

Rocklobster builds aluminum frames, and I think Curtlo does as well.

It's not EBB, but it is scandium and has slider dropouts. Voodoo will be putting out one soon. Check the 29" board for mtnpeddler's post on this. No pics as of yet though.

Duratec in the Czech republic can almost certainly do what you're after. Quality is very good judging by other frames of theirs I've seen, and prices very reasonable. Cloxxki speaks highly of them after having them do a custom 29" wheeled (and maybe also top tubed? :-) frame for a very tall friend of his. They do tandems as well so the EBB shouldn't be a problem.

    How about Kavik

    www.kavikbicycles.com

I have a nice road frame built by them, the modular drop outs are nice, I believe that they are the originators, but could be wrong.
