    creaky xtr crank w/suffering

    Hey everybody,
I've got the xtr (952) crank w/jericho spiderless ring setup on my bike. Love the look but the thing creaks like a mofo. I've cut a thin plastic washer/shim to go between the crank and ring and that seemed to help for about a ride. Haven't gotten around to cutting a shim for the lock-ring side yet, but that's next.

I've got a fair amount of anti-seize on the whole affair, too. Had grease in there previously...

Not really wanting to give up on this setup if there's a fix.

Oh, and yes, I've pulled the bb and greased it, lubed my pedals (times), lubed post and saddle rails. Very intimate with my King hubs now, too. Maybe it's my catastrophic converter..?

Just wondering if this is common with this setup and, if so, how others have solved it.

    thanks.

I got the same setup and it creaks. Right now it's more the crank/bb interface, but the first time I heard it creaking it was because the Jericho ring wasn't tight enough. I'm thinking of trying something different.
