converting a bontrager racelite to single speed

I have a bontrager racelite. I love the frame to pieces, even though it is not quite my size. I also am quite disgusted with the complexity of the whole 24 gears and suspension fork and such stuff. I had no idea that there was a big society of single speed riders. I'm kinda glad there is though, because I'd like to convert my steed to a single speed. Is there a way to do it? It does have vertical dropouts. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

The obvious answer are to use a chain tensioner which can be anything from an old deraileur to a store bought one. You can keep your current wheel this way just convert it with spacers. Check the rants on the Bontrager website for this.

You can do it cleanly by having the dropouts replaced or by running the White Indudtries eccentric hub. I think the hub is the way to go but that is my $.02. It will cost a bit more but overall you will have a stronger wheel and it will look clean.
