Connex SS Chain + KMC half link = bliss

Oy. I was sick of running chain tensioners. I was half a link off. I bought a Connex chain and KMC half link from Speedgoat, installed them and went riding. Beautiful women that used to ignore me instantly thought I was the most interesting and handsome guy on the trails, A relative that I didn't know I had sent me a $50,000 check, And the nasty rash I've had for weeks cleared up in a matter of hours. Pure coincidence? I think not!!!

    The ride was great too.

Have a nice day, dammit. I'm going riding.

    Peter

PS: Thanks to the folks that posted up about half links in the last few months. They made this pretty dang easy for me.

If a man talks dirty to a woman, it's sexual harassment. If a woman talks dirty to a man, it's $3.95 per minute.

What Connex chain are you running with that half link? Is it an 8 or 9 speed?

    Thanks

Its the Whitestar Single Speed chain. 1/2x1/8.

    Connex SS Chain at Speedgoat

It was $16. The half link was $3.

I'll scan the package of the chain if that helps.

Word of warning to you, keep on eye on that 1/2 link. I had one cost me a race this weekend. The male pin from the 1/2 link worked it was out and I threw my chain. If you noticed when you installed it, there probably wasn't alot of friction when you pressed it in.
If it is loose at all the link that you attached it to will start to work it back n forth until it pops the pin out. I thought I might of gotten a bad one, so I installed another 1/2 link. Rode for about 5 miles and it started to do the samething. I removed it, put in the old piece I took out and reinstalled my tensioner. Good luck on yours.

New question here. Who makes a better half link?

Just as a side question... Is there someone that makes a half link that works better than the KMC? Does Whipperman make one for their chains?

    Thanks for the info.
