New question here. Chris king rear hub adapter to quick release?

Is anyone using CK adapter to convert your 8 mm bolt to a quick release option. Is the hold strong enough. I am new to the SS world and I am unsure if this will work or not. I am still waiting for my 1st SS bike (on order, Titus FCR with Fox F100x )

I use a CK disc SS hub with a Bontrager QR. It holds fine. Maybe I should mention that my EBB Vulture has vertical rear dropouts.

We don't quit riding because we get old.

I forgot to mention horizontal dropout.

Also, is it difficult to mount a rear wheel with disc brakes onto a horizontal dropout?

I'll trade with you if you like. My QR end caps for your 8mm end caps and Fun Bolts. I'll even throw in a skewer if you need it.

I put some on tonight and hammered around the block with no issues (wheelies, curb jumping and quick starts). I'll post an update after a couple of rides in the dirt .

I rode Noble Canyon today and had no issues. I ran 32 x 16 with a Mavic QR skewer.

I stopped by Bike Empire on the way home and ordered a set for my wife's SS.

    Second ride and no issues...

I rode Flightline on Sunday and had no issues. I ran 32 X 16 and we did plenty of climbing!

The riding is great just be prepared for the sunshine tax (the average home is in the $400,000 range!).

The riding shouldn't be why you're moving to San Diego... our trails, except for perhaps Noble Canyon, are average at best. Perhaps I have just been spoiled by too many trips to Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, Mammoth, Colorado, Utah and Montana. :-P

Actually I'll be crashing with some friends at first in sunny Oceanside until I find some digs of my own.
