    Changing Crossmax for SS use..

I have a set of Disc Crossmas SL and would like to use them on a single speed.

The bike Im getting is a Kona Unit. I was wondering if that hub will fit that bike? If not can I switch the hub with something else I can use to adjust the width so it can be used on the Unit. Anyone know of such a thing or have any idea? Maybe even know what Im talking about?

Singlespeeds use 135 spacing, geared mnt bikes use 135 spacing...no problem using it on your Unit. Just take the cassette off and throw on some spacers and a DX bmx cog and your set.

I placed some pics of my Xmax/Unit setup on the Wheels board.

You can do this with any cassette hub. The spacers are made from SCH40 1.25" PVC pipe cut to size.
