    Chain Play Side to Side

Still being relatively new to single speed I've only changed out my chain once, this late winter when I switched out my trusty kmc 410 for a Gussett slink half-link (and yes I read the forums on half links). I took it off to clean it and notice quite a bit of side play, like the chain is a rope almost. I think I should be concerned but wondering if anyone else has noticed this with their chain.
If I want the luxury of shifting gears, I'll drive my car.

Yes there is going to be side play, but exactly how much are you talking about? It should be minimal.

My chain twists, like it rotates around the axis parallel to the wheelbase of the bike. That don't even worry me (but I think it should). The chain is supposed to be flexible from side to side, at least a bit.

Hey people, what about chain rotation/twisting?
Sometimes, I question the value of my content.

as the chain wears there will be play, also the manufacturing tolerances will determined how much play from new.
