Can I use a fork with a straight steerer on my carve?

2012 carve 29er sl and I might want to use a fork with a straight steerer because they are more readily available with qr dropouts and I don't want to swap wheels. Of course my fork now is tapered.

The headset I found out is a proprietary headset from fsa for the bike. I am hoping to be able to use a reducer or adapter crown race. It is a 45-45 angled. If I have to I would buy a different headset.

I can only find a 36/45 crown race reducer or hope makes one where the regular crown race sits on the adapter, but it has a 40mm OD and the ID of my bearing is 44mm.

Since the headset is integrated and proprietary I haven't figured out if I can buy a reducer headset that would fit. Fsa doesn't have one that is integrated, only semi integrated.

Anyone able to help me figure this out?

Thanks for the info. However I think this crown race is for a 45/36 bearing not the 45/45 installed on the carves. I did call cane creek and talked to a guy there who helped me find a reducer headset that will work though.

I have a 2013 Carve SL with the FSA headset and that was the reducer I used to get my straight steerer fork to work with it. 1.5" IS stands for Integrated Standard headsets. Specialized calls it campy style instead of Integrated.

So after paying a ridiculous $18 for the crown race after shipping, I don't think it will work. I think it is for a 36x45 headset not a 45x45. There is a slight gap between the bearing and the seat. It does not sit flush. Serious1, any thoughts based on your installation? I bought the one in your link.
