I rode the fixie just now (I know I should post this on the fixie forum, but that forum is a bit on the boring side).

Very nice ernesto, that RockRing is pimp. Is it for extra grip on those urban gnomes? Now lay down a skid next to some cars at a stop light. Scares the sh!t out of them

That RockRing is to deflect my Mexican bell-bottoms. It acts as a deflector shield, Star Wars pimp style. Ka-PING!
I need to put neon lights on the bottom of that rig and make it more pimpastic.

The not-so-gangsta chicks around here might not be all hot and horny like the ones in Telemundo, but at least they see my pimp ride and quiver in style.

I look at myself in the mirror some times and I get all hot, all Rico Suave menudo style with a mole on my face.

Whoops! I just gave myself a latino lover boner...those last for 4 hours...

From the one of those erectile dysfunction commercials...."erections lasting 4 hours or more, while rare, require immediate medical attention"

It is missing. I haven't got the time to shop for one, so I ride.
I tried an old piece of under the table gum at Denny's, but it didn't work.

Umm, no lock ring equals, um, pain...

No really. Get a damn lock ring before you ride any more, or when you do lay down a big skid, it'll be flesh, not rubber. I couldn't tell from the picture or not if the hub had a lock-ring step down, but if it just has freewheel threads, throw an old skool BB lockring on the damn thing. And LOTS of blue locktite.

That, or duct tape and zip ties.

Snagged an old shitmano BB lockring from my LBS for $.50 and threw it on a Surly free/free hub aftering slathering it up with plenty o' blue Loctite. Some even maintain that this setup is dangerous, but so far so good.

By the way, went to remove the lockring and track cog...had to use a standard screwdriver in the lockring notches and a bigazz hammer just to remove the lockring. Got that off and proceeded to break 2 chainwhips (one a Park) trying to get the cog off. Never was able to--though I've sinced learned that you have to heat up the loctite first--so I guess it's on there for good.

Nice lookin' rig ya got there.

    Crappy close-up of lockring setup...

The whole chalupa (I've since replaced the KORE stem with a higher rise Salsa chromo, which put everything just right)...
