    Broken Two Circles *sob, sniff*

Does anyone know of a 19.5" Two Circles frame kicking around anywhere?

Mine broke at the chainstay/dropout junction this weekend. Sorry no pix.

I loved this bike dearly - enough that I would consider buying another even
though this one broke. Are there any still around?

If not, I guess I'll probably get Teesdale to weld me up identical geometry
in steel. But then I have to ride and race my stupid-assed gearie FSR
    while I wait.

    Thanks,

    ZB

Two Circles is gone but check with Web Cyclery Looks like they still have some in stock. That's a bummer, good luck.

    Sorry to here that Zak

That was a really sweet frame and looked to suit you quite well. Those NC trails can be hard on bikes.

Bonking ... not feelin' well Say it isn't so...

how long have you had your twocircles? I just got one in the fall, and I love it. It is the best riding and fitting mountain bike I have ever owned, and I have owned a few.
I hope I don't have the same problem. Did you check with any frame builders to see if it could be repaired?
I wonder if Tim sold that last of his stock?

    32:17 ..... a favor?

I've had mine for about 14 months. I agree that it was the best thing I ever rode.

I tried to track another on down through webcyclery, but no luck.

I've been speaking with Tom Teesdale.... he offered me a couple of options for
repair - replace the stay for $200, or weld over the crack for cheap/no warranty.
It's tempting, but I'd never feel the same about the bike again. SO, I have begun
the process of ordering a replacement for it in 853 from Teesdale. I want the
size and geometry copied exactly, which brings me to the FAVOR...

Could you hook a brother up and bust out a measurement for me? Height from the
ground to center of rear axle, and height from ground to center of BB shell?
I have all the measurements necessary to have him recreate the frame except
bottom bracket drop, and mine is already torn down. What size do you ride?

THANKS MUCHO IF YOU CAN DO THAT !!!!!!

    Whatever you need bro....

The height from the center of my rear QR skewer to the ground is 13-5/8". The distance from the center of the EBB to the ground is 12-9/16".

My twocircles is a 18". The fork is a Fox float RL set to 80mm. When I measured there was no sag. Chris King headset. The tires are the same size and pressure ( Bonti, Jones AC 2.1" 38psi). I think that is everything that would effect the measurements.

The 853 will ride like a whole different bike. My roadie has a custom 853 frame. You will have to let me know how it turns out?

I saw a new 19.5 on ebay a little while back, too.... If you only knew.

If you need any other measurements, let me know.

    Thanks !

I went ahead and put mine back together and measured it with the 100mm fork,
and get about 12mm less drop than your number with the 80mm, so our figures
are jiving. I'm going to get TET to "correct" the geometry slightly for the longer fork.

Anywho - I really appreciate, it's good to get a second measure to back up my
    own.

I'll be posting pics and a review in late April.

I guess since I'm a gearie again for 6 weeks, I can't hang out here until then.
