    BMX looking MTB SS

I am trying to recreate that "BMX" look in a SS I am building... does anyone know if an old bmx plastic seat will fit a modern bike seatpost? I would take off the rounds clam assembly of course, but was curious if the rails are spaced the same distance apart?

Also, does anyone know of a mountain bike handle bar that looks like an old bmx handlebar?

    Thanks, Kev

Here are a couple of links:

I am not sure how BMX bars differ from MTB bars other than their shape.

    I hope this helps.

for handlebars, look at the .243 Racing bar. It's basically a BMX cruiser bar made out of 4130. You need to use a BMX stem with it or else a shim for a MTB stem. I have one on my Monocog.

I think seat rails have been the same distance apart for aeons; you can probably find one of those old plastic Flite seats on eBay. One of the shortie Skyway Hotseats would be great! I had a white one back in the day.

The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.
