    Idea! BB/Chainline Qs..?

if i have a 68mm bb shell, and a 73mm x 113mm bb with a label on it that sez i can put a spacer on the drive side for use with a 68mm bb shell:

    1) and i don't use a spacer, will my chainline be focked beyond tweaking if my hub is a 9speed xt disc with a buttload of spacers; and/or

    2) should i just buy a 68mm bb & be done with it; and/or

    3) should i just get a bb spacer (not sure i've ever seen one; and is this something that will make the setup more prone to creaking)?

    (keep it single speed)

    I'd use a bb spacer

A bb spacer should be the same size as your freehub body spacer. If you have plenty of those laying around, try different widths out until you get one that works. Creaking...I've used them on quite a few bikes without creaking issues.
