    aweosome bunch of people @ harmonic convergence

    To everyone who was @ harm conv, I had a blast meeting and riding with you all...I also got my a$$ handed to me for much of it, but a hard day on the bike beats an easy day on the couch! Thanks again, and I hope to ride with you guys in the future.

    Yep, a good time was had, some beer was drunk and a bunch of good people spent some time together in the woods.

    Huge thanks for Bob for hosting such a great ride. I was suffering at the end but still had a grand time out there. Awesome to meet you all!

    Here's some pictures from the beer break log ride, I took others but they came out all blurry Hope my memory's holding up and I identified everyone correctly...

    1) Wade, aka The Vulture riding smoothly off the log.
    <img src="https://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/103_0367(2).jpg" border=3>

    2) Justin dropping off it in the dirt drops.
    <img src="https://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/103_0368(1).jpg" border=3>

    3) Sorry, I don't know who this is but he ended up OTB.
    <img src="https://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/103_0371.jpg" border=3>

    4) One of the few occasions we saw Sparty put a foot down, here he his walking his bike down. Having seen the previous dude endo you can't argue with the decision
    <img src="https://gallery.consumerreview.com/webcrossing/images/103_0372.jpg" border=3>

    5) Add finally Jeff Jones being a complete bad ass, and exiting the log ride backwards after flipping around out of a nose wheelie. Mighty impressive, and his bike was just a work of art. I think Kyle has a much better shot of this stunt.

    I was trying to put the attached pictures inline in the post. Guess it didn't work the way I thought it worked. I think I've got the hang of it now though.

    Hc Rockss!!!

    And Red-Haze ruleSS for puttin' on another GREAT one! Big deal if it's a bit of a drive. What's a measly six or seven hours in the car compared to the payoff of this AWESOME event? Best estimate at the post-ride food & brew fest is that there were about 50 dudeSS & dudetteSS in attendance. That number will no doubt be up to somewhere around 80 within a couple o' weeks as the embellishing continues.

    If you haven't done HC you might not be able to imagine how unique and fun Bob's (Red-Haze's) Stella trails are. They are tight and twisty, with plenty of log-overs, roots, off-cambers, and tree gaps to shoot. This year things got even more interesting as light rain started mid-day, making for some slick trails and entertaining antics. I saw a couple of good wipeouts. Did I mention that Stella is twisty? Yesterday it was not uncommon to have our 20ish person group passing itself in opposite directions on the same loopy trail that wound back to within a few feet of itself after covering a linear quarter mile. In this way the leaders could stay in touch with the guys at the back.

    Glad I got to see so many ol' friends plus make gobs o' new ones. I got to meet Mine's a Pint and made him promise (along with JRA, Blowout, and several others) to make every effort to attend Spring Barbie Camp in April (2nd - 4th). There's just no way to get too much of the kind of camaraderie SShared at eventSS like thiSS!

    Harmonic ConvergenSSe... such a cool zone... such excellent trails... such a great group... such a happenin' event. ThankSS, Bob!!!

    Thanks to all of you for coming out to play!

    I still don't know how many riders showed up, but it surely was more than 50.
    Many thanks to all of you, most had to drive more than 2 hours to get here, thats an outstanding effort for just a few hours of riding time.

    Then, some Bend-ites stayed over to Sunday and SSue and I treated them to a Siouxon Creek trail ride in the Gifford Pinchot Nat'l Forest. They had an unfair advantage from altitude training tho, that and the cans of beer Wade brought along!

    Here's some pics in no particular order:

    See ya'll at BC!

    One happy rider!

    I pulled out the BOB trailer Monday night, there were still about 8 bottles of beer left, I opened one and enjoyed it in the moonlight before heading back to the gate. Didn't have my geary bike so towed it out with the SS, it was aLOT lighter and mostly d/h so was a nice evening/night ride.

    Hey, I did my part on that beer, No way I was going for another one.. the trail didn't stop spinning for a while as it was. Something about downing a couple quick beers after riding a couple hours on nothing but a bagel and bananna for breakfast Then going out and riding some more without eating...
