    Hope Another Cranky Question

So I'm building up a new SS based on the Redline Monocog Flight AL frame, but I'm in a crank conundrum. I'm looking for a cheapish, black crankset. Not RaceFace, and possibly with the new-fangled external BB. I've been looking at used M542/552 cranks on ebay for around 70 bucks, but would be willing to spend more for the right crank. I'm also considering SLX and some of the Truvative offerings. Any suggestions for a lightish, stylish, budget oriented crank? I know that's asking a lot. Thanks in advance!

Oh, and black is a must, otherwise I'd just do an octalink XT...

Jenson had new SLX cranks for $129.99 a few weeks ago. Those were external bearing type (2 piece).

octalink will do just fine. You can find M5XX series octalink cranks on ebay for under $40. (used of course).
