Aluminum cog on aluminum free hub body?

Will it work or will it chew into the splines? I'm building up my first singlespeed and would like to use my existing wheels until I can get a single speed set. So what do you think, will it be OK to use a alu cag with a 4 or 5 mm base or should I wait until I can get a new wheelset?

Yep, 4-5mm should be enough width for any kind of cog to work on an Alu freehub body. That is the normal width for all the nice steel ones out there
