    Adjusting Surly new hubs

I just got some Surly new disc hubs on a SS build and I need to adjust them, because I feel a bit of side to side on both front and rear.

Does anyone know what size cone wrench I'll need and the proper protocol for a sound adjustment?

Also, the 'cones' actually press against the dust caps, which in turn press against the bearings. I had some trouble eliminating play in my hubs and it turned out that one of the dust caps wasn't sitting flush against the bearings, and I had to over tighten the cones in order to remove all of the play. Replacing the dust cap solved my problems.

Nice advice. Where did you find the dustcaps? QBP carry them?

I took mine off an old surly hub I had lying around. Not sure if Surly sells replacements, but I would hope so. QBP would be the distributor if they did.

The internet reveals both hardware kits and dust cap kits are available ($5-10).

    Thanks for the advice fellas!

I picked up some cone wrenches yesterday, so I'll get the slop out.
