    7speed casette

    Any reason not to buy a 7 speed performance cassette for the cogs? They should be thicker than 9speed and not tear up the hub and you get several usable cogs.

    Lots of reason not to:

    The cogs are still narrow enough to damage an aluminum FH body (zero to ~0.5mm thicker)

    They are ramped and not a good choice for SS

    May not have the tooth count you want/need
