    58mm BCD 5 bolt chainring...

I just bought a 1994/5 Parkpre that was converted to a singlespeed. The chainring is pretty worn and I went looking for a new one. The problem is I can't find a 34t 58mm BCD chainring. All the places I tried only have 22t. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Looks like somebody cut the spider down. Best of luck with that.

I just had a custom chainring made by Cycle Underground in Australia. They state that they can do 58mm BCD 'rings.

    Here's mine...

    I see hills.

    I want to climb them.

Thanks. I really like the look of these cranks but I might just get a new set because these are proving to be too much of a challenge. Any suggestions on a decent set cheaper than custom ordering a new chainring?

Check ebay for 110bcd cranks. There are usually Deore DX cranks for 35+shipping.

...and OP will be able to employ the desired 34t ring... which is the smallest generally available for the 110bcd. I say "generally" because if one searches diligently, they can find 33t rings for 110bcd, but depending on crank brand / model sometimes the spider will need to be relieved in order to clear the chain.

Shimano STX used a odd BCD (58) on the granny, and the middle and large ring were bolted to the granny via a carrier. The middle ring was stepped to get it into the correct position, no after market rings were available.

However, they did have a nice polished finish to them...

I think Surly sells and adapter for their Mr. Worlys that fits the 58mm to 110. Might work on yours
