when i read the title i was expecting you to say you found a reason to upgrade your frame. good to see your just informing potential buyers. does it seem a bit odd that they are releasing an early version of the frame before the split stay version they said is upcoming? why not just go strait to the final version?
    Rigid SS 29er
    SS 29+
    Fat Lefty
    SS cyclocross
    Full Sus 29er (Yuck)

Stop asking how much it weighs and just go ride it.

Never could get into Soma bikes. The headtube, and that chainstay look terrible.

Seems like a good alternative if you want a cheap steel bike though.

Look into Pipedream. At least you have an actual tapered headtube and a better looking frame.

I'm satisfied knowing that what I wear during my "day" job makes me more of a man than you'll ever be.

I don't think soma frames look bad at all. You're right it was cheaper than a 2000 dollar titanium kona I did want but it is a nice frame and I can put a tapered fork in this with the proper lower headset. It has a 44 mm head tube that will accept tapered steerers.
