    inconSSieve-able!

Dangit, now SS is proven to be just a fashion trend!

truly, riding the CCP100 as SS is inconSSieveable for me. I'll be well pleased (and exhausted) completing it in 2005 on the Jekyll!

When is the pre-ride? And I will probably have at least one other person (Tammy, ya ain't met her yet tho she should be at the convergenSS) coming down to help out for the CCP100 this year.

    bike ON

This news makes me soooooo proud...

I'm glad I singlespeeded the Puff way back in '02 before all these wannabe fashionistas glommed onto the SS trend.

Ha ha, just jokin', y'all. Like I'm an such an old school SSer myself!

    Three reasons to keep trying:

First, there's a waiting list and it's not unrealistic to get on it and maintain hope that you'll move into a slot that opens up -- they always do.

Second, shiggy is a softie. I can guarantee nothing, but I ride with the guy every week and I've seen him bend the rules to allow one more rider who's special to him into the fold.

Third, well, just keep trying. Don't give up. Thats what separates Cream Puff finishers from everybody else.

Email the boy and tell him your situation -- at the very least you'll get on the waiting list. Then start training like you know you're gonna get in.

I am NOT a softie! I banned you for life. No more riding the 'Puff for you!

I am totally fair on you gets in. The only spots remaining are for past champions, sponsor passes and a few Xmen.

I do expect about a dozen riders from the waiting list to make the race.

...god willing. This year I promised the wife we'd ride the (road) tandem all year and I'm sticking to it (with enough SS rides to compete in the Otter and Police Games), but save a place for me in 2005. Next year I move up to Grand Masters and my my buddy Mike (aka Spyke) has already agreed to train with me for next year's Puff. This year I'll be saving my money which means I'll miss the DofD. But Shiggy I'll be with you in spirt and even bought a new seatpost to have just in case mine blows up again. Thanks for keeping us honest and giving me a reason to do 8 hour "training" rides.

    1G1G, Brad

BTW happy 50th Sparty!! God bless and keep you safe

Bob, whenever you can make it down we will take you up there. I will be hosting a pre-ride (2 laps) the week before for those interested.

Bring your SS, personally I think it is a much better SS ride than geared. Of course I think every ride is better on a SS, well maybe not the Twins which is sweet on 5" of travel and a 46 tooth front ring.

Damm, and I didn't get my registration in. Guess I will have to try next year.
