    16t not skipping....15t skipping

I have been commuting with a 38X16t, and haven't had any problems with skipping. I found the 38X16 to be a little to easy and wanted to try using a 15 tooth. The problem is i can't get the 15 to stop from skipping. The chain(sram pc1), chainring(salsa), and cog(godspeed) are all new and seem to be round and no teeth bent. The chainline looks good and was fine with the 16 tooth. I could go to a bigger cog but i am running a 34X20(also new) on the middle ring for trail riding and need to keep the chain length the same. Has anybody else have this problem when you get down to a smaller sized cogs.

I would say it is chain tension/wrap... your chain does not get the same tension/wrap it used to get with the 16.. and since you need to keep it that length for the 34x20, I guess you would need to use a 39T (don't know if there is one) or just go back to 16....
