I'm planning to put an Isis, compact road crank on mine next week. With 110 Bcd compact road cranks 34t rings are common and road cranks have much lower Q factors. I'd like to use a Sram Rival road crank but have a 73mm bb shell and don't think it would work.

smallest ring on 130BCD is 38t, Salsa makes a great ring, about the same price as a Homebrewed ring tho. if your using a road crank you will most likely need a three piece set with a wider MTB BB most external BB road cranks won't clear MTB chain stays

ruppsters link had a very fairly priced ring , the ring didnt seem too bad and its great that you can run both 110 bcd and 130 bcd cranks with the same ring
