1 grand or less to spend on the frame...???

I got about a grand to spend on a 29er frame. I have all the parts so I'm good there. Looking at the Redline Flight, Niner One9, Tricon Ti,Canfield, maybe Spot?.I had a Niner and just sold one but the 2012 just came out....Just want to see what people think. Live in Colorado and also have a FS for the nasty stuff out here. Will ride my SS 2-3 times a week....Thanks for your input....

Have you considered spending a little more and getting a Waltworks?
$1200 gets you a custom bike made right in your own state (as long as you like black).

Yeah for that amount of money you can pretty much get anything. Definitely go custom.

I've been loving my Canfield Nimble9 with the ultra short chain stays. Hooks up awesome on climbs an pretty fun when pointed downhill.

If I were going custom, I'd go 16.5" or so chain stays, 69-70 HTA and Blackcat swing drops. I know Walt can do all that.

Well non custom I would say the new Black Label Vassago's look pretty nice! You can also do a Russian ti frame as a custom as well. There was a thread about these somewhere on the board about them. So far the reviews have been pretty good and you can have it custom made with Paragon sliders (you would order them directly from Paragon with delivery to the builder). I think when I worked out all the pricing it came out to right under $1k or somewhere right around there anyway.

Coconino's are also right around $1200 as well and are custom.
