unit Vs Solo One

My bike just got stolen and I am ready to try something new.
Since my gears don't get that much of a workout it will be SS.
I want stealth black no bling bling like the SASS which says steal me!
I think either the solo one or the unit. The unit frame seems sweet and you can
swap back to gears if SS does not work out.
Not much chance to test ride due to lack of frames my size and schedule.
Is the unit worth the extra $300 for the specs and frame?
I love/laugh at the passion I see in these threads but do need some good/quick feed back.
thanks, HH.

They are both cool

Both are nice for the price, I opted for the Solo-one mostly due to the price and I had not seen a unit. I like the soft tail, it takes the edge of the bumps when your seated. The sliding dropouts, and being able to have disc on the rear are advantages on the Unit. I really like my Solo-one but if I had to do it again I just might get the Unit. Of course the $300 price difference goes a long way toward a nice fork. Good luck
