Just got my Sycip Track frame back from Spectrum... Here are the shots. Thought this page needed alittle more bike porn. Hahaha, like we need more. Not a single speed but I thought you would like to see it anyway. N.

Yeah, Matte Clear with black and blue panels... I was really nervous about the choice but I am very glad that I went this route. I really like it alot. Spectrum said that it’s fairly durable as far as impact and scratches but as far as water resistance its not as durable. I went for it anyway because I live in a dry climate and rust is not usually a problem around here.

hexadecimal

Refers to the base-16 number system, which consists of 16 unique symbols: the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F. For example, the decimal number 15 is represented as F in the hexadecimal numbering system. The hexadecimal system is useful because it can represent every byte (8 bits) as two consecutive hexadecimal digits. It is easier for humans to read hexadecimal numbers than binary numbers.
To convert a value from hexadecimal to binary, you merely translate each hexadecimal digit into its 4-bit binary equivalent. Hexadecimal numbers have either an 0x prefix or an h suffix. For example, the hexadecimal number

0x3F7A

translates to the following binary number:

0011 1111 0111 1010

I meant...

I wanted to say that it was a cross post with the Fixed Gear Road Bike Review Forum... Sorry for the bad wording. I also would love to have/see a java boy with a paint job like this one.

Yeah, how much did that thing set you back?

I'd like their java boy in the same finish......................

Oh yeah, does the X suggest cross? If so, what max tire size?

Dude, killer frame. The paint job is sweet. Other than the clear coat and panel, was there anything done to the tubes to prevent rust? I am assuming that if you wipe it down and clean it off you ride, there should be no problem with rusting if you dry it off right?

digital.
makes sense when all you have are zero's and one's... and your bike is a singlespeed. :D
that is absolutely gorgeous and original. can't wait to see the build! you may need to use a Jones H(exideciamal)-bar! :p

It will not rust as long as the clear coat stays in tacked, but if there becomes a small nick or crack in the clear then water could get in there and cause rust. Spectrum really does not recommend this type of paint job but says it works fine in dry climates (like I am in). Most of their paint jobs come with a warranty but not the just clear ones.

Nice look'n bike Ifripp. You will have to post some finish pic's when your all done with it. Can you please answer a question for me though. Looking at the headtube/downtube connection it appears that they applied a bead of brass overtop of the tig weld. It just looks that way, maybe it's the light.

And Thylacine, why do you think they faked the haze.
