Not sure if this is the right section but I figured Freeride guys would use these more than the XC guys, Ive found these and wonder what you guys would go with.

All my posts seem to be me agreeing with aedubber. There is huge thread about droppers in the AM section, but you'll see recommendations for all brands. After breaking a Joplin and 2 Kind Shocks, I use a Command Post Blacklite with a KS remote. I like that remote because it is not too obtrusive.

The Blacklite is set back, which I don't like. The seat clamp is also prone to slippage, if you land hard on the seat. The good thing is that it is mechanical, so it will still lock into one of the 3 positions if there is a problem with the air spring.

Reverb is nice as well as the KS LEV. I run the Gravity Dropper Turbo on both bikes now and while it's not as adjustable as the Reverb/LEV I actually prefer that setup. It's pretty easy to get used to having the drop go right to a set point without needing to put much thought or effort into it. I also appreciate the VERY simple construction. I can do any repairs with the same tools and materials I already have; allen wrenches, shift (or brake) housing and standard shift cable.

Do most of the downhillers use dropper posts? I am new to the genre, but it seems like if you are riding downhill all the time you don't care about raising the seat for maximized pedal efficiency

I've got a KS LEV (granted on a cross country bike). I went with it because there's no cable movement because the trigger point is at the seat collar and routed into the lower portion. My bike is a small, so cable movement would have put the cable into the rear suspension.
