I just want to know who would ride all that non stop! Just hurts my hands and quads just thinking about it..
I did enjoy reading about the guy who clocked a million vertical miles riding the park already this year. He went over the mark by riding TOTW to the village.
Lee, does Whistler have an actual trail map to take (like a ski map)? When we were up there in '11 we just rode. Unfortunately, I don't know half the trails we rode. It would have been nice to see what we rode and figure out more options. Thanks, Fahn
Yeah, I'd go with a million vert feet also. But wow 42 min is fast. Takes about the same to get from the back/top of Blackcomb Glacier to the village in the winter also. I've done that, but haven't done the summer version
42 mins,,,,,, really, would have thought it to be quicker than that, im thinking along the lines of, the garbo dh @ crankworks, if the pros are doing that in arround 12-13 mins, then totw thrown in as well would add that much time would it ?,
how much higher/longer is top of the world from where the garbanzo dh starts.?.
i was bored at work so i looked into this on strava, and found the top times for each of the different trails. it doesnt look like there is a segment going from top to bottom, or at least i didnt see one in the 5 minutes i spent looking.
top times are:
TOTW- 17:41
Freight Train- 9:08
Dirt Merchant- 2:18
A-Line- 4:57
Add that up and you get 34:04. HOWEVER. This isnt entirely accurate because the segment start/stops dont line up with the trail junctions at all. I would probably drop a few minutes and say a top time from top to bottom on strava would be around 28-32 minutes.
and nowwwww i shall go finish this stupid database project. hope this helps
After the Crankworx Enduro, I'd say subtract a few minutes. 22:28 for Graves doing a different course that included some climbing. Of course, he did it on a 6 inch bike.
was talking with my wife...she took hour and a half and I said less then 30 for the pros
just figuring times
