You can probably get away with setting up in a dark corner of the lower lot. I doubt anyone will bother you.
However, not sure where you are from but there are few things less humane than late summer camping in NJ. Our air is basically hot water. The only thing cooling you off at night is the breeze from mosquito wings. Add to that the miserable night's rest, packing 3x the gear, and the possibility of rain...it's a whopping good time! (this from a guy who loves camping)
The bike & stay packages are actually reasonable. And you may get access to the pool. I HIGHLY recommend it.
I'll be coming up from Chattanooga, TN. Totally understand the humidity. Those bike and stay packages look SWEET, but at $191/night, this empty wallet may just have to fend off the skeeters!
Wawayanda State park is just over the ridge from mountain Creek and they have camping. I have no idea what the facilities are like or what the availability is, but you might want to check it out.
I was just going to mention this. I grew up in the area and camped here when I was a kid. It's only like 15 away. Prob your best bet for legitimate camping...
