Here's crazy Gnar Rider Aaron Polly frickin' sending it at Pajarito Punishment race this past weekend. He got 5th on the Cat 1 podium against some crazy fast locals...He's so fast cause he shuttle's his bike weekly and gets GNAR!
This is recent, unfortunately. This is how some bikes die - slowly cannibalized by other bikes in the garage. Nothing but a shell now. Nice ride, but the support isn't really there. One little crack and I'll have to wait a total of five months for a replacement part to come in. That is some serious time to contemplate another manufacturer.....
This is the last spot to grab a break before you freight train down the AZT from Aspen corner to Snowbowl road.....grip it and rip it....more pics on my blog or on my coffee table post here soon.
We had to stay the night in Payson, since we arrived ther about 5:30 and every shop was closed. Unfortunately the rental shops were also closed Saturday and Sunday in Payson. :madman: After getting a ride down to the Scottsdale airport for a car rental, it was back to Payson to pick up my buddy and get up to Sunrise! Game on!!
We stayed at the Sunrise Lodge and the rooms had plenty of space for the bikes. However, we were the only ones there and I quickly felt like we were going to be in a horror film. Very creepy there...
Overall it was a great trip. The trails up there were a lot of fun and we both got some great footage on the GoPros. My car is still up there getting fixed, it turns out it was the transmission that went :madman: but at least we made it out safe and had some crazy stories to tell friends and family!
Hey carbomb... in the future, don't pull off so far into the tall grass like that. Grass fires start that way. I'm sure you don't want to live up to your name and be the reason a fire is started. Keep it on the pavement.
I wonder how many readers didn't notice that in the picture, I sure didn't. Good tip to know!
