So I finally got myself a Kona Stinky Deluxe and I really like it and love the travel of it but I am really not used to the weight of the front end. I can bunny hop and jump pretty well on my GT Force which isn't light but not heavy either but not so much on the stinky since the front end is so heavy. Do I have to adjust my riding or something? Any thoughts or ideas?
Yea.................bunny hop yer GT and do downhill on the stinky
Seriously, what are you looking to do with the stinky?, its not really a throw around bike and no fork that is suitable for it will really change that fact...... what did you by it for?
How slow is your rebound? I find it needs to be pretty quick to get a decent bunny hop out of a heavy long travel bike. But I am curious as to why you need to bunny hop your Stinky?

I bought the stinky for doing FR and DH but on some drops and descents I wasn't expecting the front end to drop down so fast and usually off drops I am used to pulling up some. It's a totally different ride than my GT or XC bike so I guess I just need to adjust to it. As for the bunny hopping aspect I am used to hopping over logs as opposed to just riding over them. I've seen guys on downhill bikes hop over some pretty high stuff though.
Yeah, adjust to it. It takes a while. Do not expect the bike to ride like your other one. Off of drops and such, rather than popping the front up, shift your weight back. Once you get a feel for the bike, then you can start to hop it much better.
Free up your rebound a bit, front and back. Pre-load the whole bike, not just the front end like an XC hardtail, when you're trying to bring the lead-sled up...and get stronger
