A female friend of ours has really stepped up her riding level and is in need of shin guards to protect her from Sedona vegetation and sharp rocks.
She is about 5' and weights around 100 lbs. I am trying to recommend some different brands for her, but I don't know anything about small women's shin guards. Unfortunately most bike shops don't carry shin guards for the little people, so I am hoping for some suggestions since she will probably have to order something thru the internet.
She is looking for a shin guard that is supported by the top of her foot. Seems like the kid pad is too short. What's frustrating is that the shin guard lenghts are not posted.
i noticed those things she was wearing didn't have a great fit. should have offered her to try on my 661 2x4s - elbow\forearm, but looked about the right size. Also might want to try some soccer shin guards, since its primary for vegetation protection.

These cost a lot more, but the style is the de-facto standard for a lot of folks (I have a pair of large and I like them for all day comfort, not the best for pedaling in, but comfortable)
Length is listed at 12 and 3/4 inches long for small, seems like that would work:
I also have a pair of these for wearing the knee part on the pedal up and adding the plastic shin guard part the the ride down. I like these for their flexibility in amount of coverage options:
This site has a lot MotoX stuff, good $ & free shipping for orders over $69.00, nice jerseys too!
Fox, Thor, Moose, 661, etc.
Ck out the boy's models, they may be smaller.
The Fox Titan Pro is super nice.
O'neal makes a nice product also.
Not knowing her leg size makes it difficult to recommend.
my girlfriend wears Dianese. she thinks youre making the trails around here too easy and stopped wearing her pads. Stop sanitizing trails. is that your real job anyways? do you have one?
I just started using sixsixone Evo shin guards after I took a rouge flying rock in the shin at about 15mph in PMP. Instant pain, goose egg and a hole in my shin 2 weeks later was enough for me.
The Evo is comfortable, light and plenty of airflow. More expensive than most, but worth it in my opinion. I waited for the right price on ebay before I bought them though.

My friend ended up getting the Small 661 Pro and likes them. Thanks for your input.
