Pannier racks for SS

Hi guys,

Has anyone attached a pannier rack to their singlespeed bike? If so, which one?

I have a 09 giant bowery and want some panniers for some gear while commuting. The problem is there are no holes near the dropouts or seatstay/seatpost junction where most racks seem to attach. Any ideas?

Would it be safe to drill a small hole in each dropout for attachment? Big enough for a small bolt, but small enough and centred enough (away for the edges) to avoid weakening the area.

Thanks
Brad

this is what I used for my bike that doesn't have eyelets for mounting on the stays and the seatube

used this on my seatpost

and used this for my rack...I am a big fan of Axiom racks...they will haul very heavy loads and no problems, have them on all my utility bikes
