XX / XLoc lockout firm or mushy?

In 2006 had a RS Reba that had one dealbreaking flaw for me. Even at full "lock", the fork would mush up and down at least a couple inches in its travel when I was out of the saddle.

Perhaps this sort of thing doesn't bother you, but it does bother me. I eventually swapped it for a Fox with a proper lockout that did exactly what I wanted (solid lockout) and I was happy.

Fast forward a few years later and I'm looking into tapered 29er forks. The tapered Reba XX 29er 20mm TA Xloc seems perfect, but does anyone have direct experience with Xloc on the XX? Do you know if it's "rock" solid like a Fox or mushy like 06 Rebas? Thanks in advance.

I've also had some variability b/w forks with motion control. My reba WC and team 120 are more mushy, but the SID's are quite firm. The WC does have some oil leakage at the top of the stanchion so maybe thats to blame
