Ridden a monocog flight, and got hooked.
Will my stumpy feel to flexy to ride SS compared to the flight, is it worth it?

did you go with a kit, or a SS hub?singlespeedrider said:Here is my stumpy set up as a SS and no issues at all. I went for a moncog also.

That just sounds like the difference between SS and geared (it does depend on the SS gearing too) as well as the difference between rigid and susp fork. An SS bike feels more direct when putting power down. Not sure of the best words to describe it, but it sounds like you felt it yourselfJester1911 said:ok, I'm looking at the surly spacers, cog, chainring, using my spare 9 speed chain, and getting a half link just in case.
I have the sliders for my stumpy also.
I'll probably also take my fork back to 80mm to help out some.
The flight seemed to take off when pedaled, where as the stumpy just seems to be sluggish.
you mean there 1 speed chain?singlespeedrider said:I run my fork at 100mm with no issues at all. You should not need a half link and spend they few extra bucks and get a KMC 810 or 710 chain.
And take some pics when you are all done.
What quick release skewer is that?singlespeedrider said:I am pretty sure this is an 09 and they made it with sliders so no kit was needed. Not the best pic but you can kinda see the sliders.
You might have to go with a kit but as far as frame stiffness I can not see where you would have any issues.
