Like the title says I'm building my first single speed. I'm doing it on a budget and I think I did a good job. It started because I was given a Trek 4300 frame and I had spare wheels and brakes laying around so I decided to build it up. It's pretty much done, I need to take the fork to the bike shop to get the steerer tube cut and I need to buy a chain. I had bought a SRAM PC-1 but my DMR tensioner only works with geared chains so I'll have to buy one tomorrow. This cost a total of $285 to build plus whatever the new chain costs. I'll post pics when I get it all finished. Here are the specs. Everything listed as free were either take-offs I had lying around or parts that friends gave me.
