Well to begin this rant I must explain where I am living right now. I am in the Army and currently working in Korea and we are not allowed to drive so I have been using my diamondback for getting around (back and forth to work). This morning I go outside to get my bike and some a$$hole had stolen the seat and seatpost last night, I am really pissed off because for one thing I don't have a damn seat anymore and for another thing it will take like 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts over here once I order them. There is some lazy worthless a$$ people in this world.

I know how you feel. Just today there was an attempted robbery at my neighbors house. He stopped by our house first and rang the doorbell to see if anyone was home and when we answered the door he played it off as if he was looking for cigarettes (what a lame excuse seeing as he was only 16). It just makes me cringe to think of we he could of stolen if no one was home. Im starting to think I might have to lock up my bike in my own garage, which is crazy. Luckily we watched the guy go into our neighbors house and called the cops and now hes arrested.
sorry to hear about your seat. People who steal are lazy a**holes

where in korea are you station??? i have to go overthere and serve one tour dont know what base, btw im in the air force..
ps are they still pulling troops from korea to go to iraq?
I finally decided that I am going to start locking the bike in my apartment while I am not using it, I can only hope the person who stole it is stupid to be using it since it is the only WTB seat I have ever seen in Korea.
I am stationed in Tongducheon which is pretty close to the DMZ which is why we can't have cars while we are here. Maniac when you get here you won't find alot of people that ride so you will have to search for your own trails or whatever you want to ride but I am never bored when out riding. Since you are in the Air Force you will most likely be stationed down further south and most of those guys are allowed to have cars down there. Korea would be the sh!t if some more people were into riding around here.
Time to get looking for a new seat and seatpost, later guys.

That does totally suck...my similar experience was when someone stole on of my grips. Just one of them, and it wasn't a nice grip, just the stock rubber non-lock on kind. Who the hell takes just one grip?? Anyways, sorry about your post/seat.

...Its @ssholes like these that really ruin your day. Bad karma for the culprit.
I'm certain you could get a replacement seat and post easily from a local bike shop in Korea. Might not be a WTB, but I'm certain you can find something comparable. If you have some friends/contacts living in a large city such as Seoul, they could buy these items for you and send em to you, if you're not able to leave your post or if its too far away.
Most MTB components come from Asia anyway, particularly Taiwan, and i would imagine that you can come across replacement parts without too many problems. Parts from the USA will cost more, but thats the price you pay when you're stationed overseas. =(
Well I was out at the bike rack just a minute ago where my bike was when the seat got jacked just checking to see if my seat showed up on someone else's bike and there was some kid sitting there by his bike crying and I looked at his bike and somebody had jacked his seat and seatpost and stuck a knife through his front tire! We have got a Seat thief and the Son of a Bit#* is getting worse! Time to put out some survelliance tonight and catch this person and ruin his whole damn week. I can only hope that I catch this person in the act, he has now stolen things off of the only 2 decent bikes that are ever at that bike rack, good thing I locked mine inside last night.
Cohiba I could get another seat from a shop around my post but it will just be a POS and since I am American they will jack the price up, I am going to check though. In Seoul there are some very respectable bike shops but there prices are alot higher than what I will pay for mail order even with the shipping charges added. Getting things sent over here is only a couple dollars more for shipping than having them sent anywhere in the states it just takes alot longer.
man that sucks, I hope he gets caught. Sticking a knife through a tire for no reason?thats just wrong.
