You're out of luck fella, we don't take kindly to your type around here.
But, seriously I'm right up the road from you in DE and it seems to me there isn't much of a freeride scene around here. The XCers immediately mulch anything that even remotely can be costrued as an obstacle. I usually try to get up to NY for the fun stuff.

Yeah I just moved down from Philadelphia. I was going to Diablo in Vernon, NJ every other week it was heaven. I know there are people around here I met two at Whistler just can't find them
Snowshoe is supposed to be around 4 hours away. I don't think I could drive by myself there ride a whole day and then drive back. It was hard enough to do 2.5 hrs at Diablo in Vernon. Of course it depends on how many crashes I take. Those trees just don't seem to get out of the way
get to the frederick watershed on sunday... a bunch of guys are doing shuttle runs. It's super close to you. It's just past Gambrill State Park. I'd go, but I have previous engagements. They have great trails there, some dh trails, drop trails, etc. If you go, you'll see my friend Will there. He rides a polished Stab Primo with a sherman slider plus. Also, a guy named fireman dave and all his friends will be there on sunday. Post on ridemonkey for the details since I don't have directions because I am too young to drive. You'll probably see me out there once I get my new Fly. Which bike do you ride? It's easier to identify people by their bikes than their faces. If you're willing to drive for 45 minutes or so, you could also come to Bethesda, MD. Lots of riders here with great riding in the downtown area. Ledges, roof drops, stair sets. There is also a big half pipe carved into a ravine if you're into that. Then there are the dirt jumps... they are pretty sweet. three different lines you can take through the jumps, all of them ending with you carving down a hill on a berm to a small jump and a step up. There are some sick riders around here too. Mostly street and trials riders, though. Only a few of us big bike riders. If you want to go riding some time on the weekend or in the afternoon on weekdays, PM me.
yeah there isnt nearly enough DH stuff around here. i live in arlington VA and im stuck jsut riding street and stuff always. snowshoe is sorta far, it took me bout 6 hours to get tehre last time and im pretty sure they're almst closed for the season. there is also massanuten which has some alright DH trails. but thats also about 3 hours away from here.
what kind of bike do you have? I live in manassas VA. I have to ride urban also! im tryin to sell my joker right now on ebay. Me and my friends built some trails at my friends house. He has like 5 acres of woods. We have a little 2 foot kicker with a 15 foot gap and a berm, roolover and a 10 ft. ladder drop! Were still building though! We are hoping to make some skinnies and stuff! Its kind of hard though because only like 5 people come to help and 2 of them are always being gay and not helping! but yea thats are little freeride type park!
dude joker that sounds like my house, its turning into a freeride park. I live in northern VA, about 2.5-3 hours from snowshoe, but there isnt really that many places to chose from around here.

I am end to all that and I don't mind driving to Bethesda either. I know where the watershed is but I heard there is a couple of different parking areas. The one I know is in the middle of the Blue Trail. Not much of a dirt jumper depending on how their set up. Urban I ride a 03 Norco Launch and Downhill I ride a 03 Norco Shore. Anytime you want to ride I am up for it on the weekends. I could do urban during the week but can't get to the trails. I am actually going out to look for some Urban. I saw a loading platform near the train station in town and fifured I wiould check out the middle school. I would go to the watershed but not sure what time. Whats PM?

I have 03 Norco Launch for freeride/Urban and 03 Norco Shore for downhill. I have had that problem before where you want to build and no one helps. Awesome that you are hooking it up though

I haven't been but from what i heard you have to take some kind of shuttle to the freeride Park and purchase a seperate ticket. Then i guess the Downhill is lift access. I think for the time it takes to get to snowshoe I can be at diablo in NJ where i know the place rocks
