OK boys and girls. DurtGurl and I are putting out a new Spring Fling offering. . . Alta Trail. Lots of climbing for you masochists, lots of steep chunk, switchbacks, and DH for you chunkmeisters, and lots of fun for all. Come out to check out one of SoMo's hidden treasures.
Meet in the big-ass parking lot (first left past the park entrance) off the Central Avenue entrance at 9am Sunday. Bring armor
2 years later and riding a bigger bike, I have to say that Alta is still very very hard and humbling. I got the one section we are tentatively naming "Durtgurl's Crack" but not much else. Hats off to Zort, Dirtbag and Tisser who all nailed the Switchback of Death - great job fellas!
Lots'o fun today.
Alta is a big old butt kicker. I was filled with righteous indignation every time I dismounted for those climbing switchbacks...and I can't wait to do it again.
Great riding with all of you. Happy travels to you out of towners (Tejans, Welsh, et al)!
Heh heh - that was a great ride indeed. Some great skills on display to - congratulations to those that did the switchback of death - nice:thumbsup: A real lesson in riding to us out of towners.
We just made it home to Wales - a glass of wine and collapse into bed to dream of rocks and dust and the next trip
Thanks for the great company everyone - we had a blast
