New train tracks going in from Tucson to Casa Grande resembles canal riding, only thing different is the occasional train that passes by. Good stuff when you can ride to the trailhead...
Nice! I used to love riding old rail and canal lines in Northern IL.
The Illinois Prairie path was just out my front door and you could ride for miles on a series of old rail lines through prairie land.
the Hennepin and Illinois and Michigan canal trails were excellent too.
I really miss that kind of riding.
Have to say that does look like a interesting adventure. Especially they way you all seem to start local work out to an area camp and back head home.
