Note; This ride will be extremely difficult, the pace will be set by a GPS and we are shooting for 4 hours of total trail time.
Please let me know if there are any riders in the valley who are up for this challenge

Will only take breaks on each of the four peaks
I think I am up for this ride, I have not been to this trail system, but am always looking to try new trails. This looks like a lot of climbing
Climbing=FUN
In case you want to ride another beast of a ride in the area, check out this thread.
5 minute breaks? 5am start time? pace set by the GPS? 4 hour finishing time? That sounds like a dictatorship not a group ride. I am not even that hard core; I'd be surprised if you get any takers.
For next time, you need to talk of pre-ride beer, long breaks with a camera, lunch at Windgate and recovery beer if this is a group ride.
BTW, if you like that type of ride (4 hour, 5 mins breaks, etc.), check out the AES below in my signature, it is right up your alley.

I'd seriously doubt that ANYONE could accomplish the Quad in four hours or less, but if you do, please post your motionbased GPS log - I'd love to see it.
XC race pace, where there's money involved for pro racers, or weekend warrior, fun social ride? I'm lucky if I can do 2200 to 2400 vertical feet an hour climbing fireroads, with no loose sand, and theres 9 to 10,000 vertical feet on this one, plus 33 miles. So, 4 hours for me isn't in the cards, Maybe 6 or 7 with 2 support stops to rewater and refuel. I'd probably burn 7 to 8000 calories on a ride like this.

I'd love to see it as well, but sadly I do not doubt that the quad could be done in four...by the right riders. It's always so humbling to watch crazy-strong XC racers blow the doors off mere mortal riders. Those guys from Idaho at 24HOTOP last year, for example -- total douches but holy cow were they fast.
I think I am up for a good ride. I will be there but am worried about the time the gates open at the park. bobo says they open at dawn. Is there a way to park outside the gates and ride in? Roughly how far is it from the gates to trailhead?

I did it in a hair over 5 riding time. I think I could finish in about 5.5 if I was very very motivated, and not at all social. It can be done in 4. But finding compatible riding buddies randomly from a message board might not work for ya.
I'd like to propose some more rules for this ride:
* Riders must refer to themselves only in the third person
* Food breaks must feature food from "The Zone," i.e. 40% carbs, 30% proteins and 30% fats
* If your HR falls below 70% you are disqualified and must return to the start.
* One foot must remain clipped in at all times. If both feet ever touch the ground, +5 minutes will be added to your total ride time.
* The frontmost rider must continuously sing the lyrics to "Hey Ya" while in first position
* The rearmost rider must continuously sing the lyrics to "Hey Jude" while in last position
* Skill tests will be administered at the top of each climb. Skills to be tested, in no particular order: differential equations, TIG welding, pop culture trivia, freehand drawing (charcoal or pencil), capoiera
* No socks
