Yeah, that is more for the DJ 1,2,3, and street forks. For the 66 all you have to do is move the 20mm spacers from the top of the springs to blelow the cartrige. I think the can be lowered to 140mm with no modification to the spring. Call Zoki they can walk you through it. At least there tech dept. was OK a year or so ago. I havent delt with them latley.

Pretty sure that is completely false for the RC2 and RC3 forks. Only the first year 66RC had a 20mm travel adjust spacer that could be relocated afaik.

Oh yeah, I remember back in the day I did that to my '75 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It dropped it hell of low, but rode like sh!t. Bouncy and bottomed out on anything. Yeah it was 'cuz I cut the springs.
I had a 888 SL for sale and it finally sold when I lowered it from $500 to $425
